Call of Duty: Modern Warfare has arrived, which means it’s time to jump into the series’ well-known multiplayer game mode to play against others from around the globe. Of course, online multiplayer isn’t the only way to play with friends, however. The series is allowing players in the same room to team up cooperatively through split-screen multiplayer in the Spec Ops mode.
How to play split-screen in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare
If you want to play Modern Warfare split-screen, you won’t be able to do so outside of the game’s multiplayer offerings. Split-screen co-op is currently only available in select multiplayer modes, specifically Spec Ops. Split-screen play is not available for the main campaign.
Follow these below mentioned easy steps to turn on the appropriate settings to play Modern Warfare in split screen:
Connect Controller no. 2 to your Play Station/Xbox.
Launch the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare game and go to Campaign menu.
Wait for the prompt to add Controller no. 2 to the game.
Press A on PS4 and X on Xbox One from Controller no. 2 to connect multiplayer game.
Next step is for Player 2 to sign into an Activision account to begin playing Modern Warfare in split screen. Once Done, enjoy playing co-op split screen with your friend.
Once you do that, you’ll be free to play co-op with a friend. Don’t expect to be able to play the game online in split screen, however, because this option only exists in certain modes. The campaign, for instance, won’t allow you to do split screen.
